Urgent Needs
Update Summer 2007
Although we will graciously accept any donation, we are truly in need of shipping. We currently have gifts here to send to orphans in need, but we’re unable to send them at this time until we receive help with the shipping. There are a variety of ways in which you could help us send gifts to orphanages. If you’re not comfortable making monetary donations, you could donate gift certificates for services from UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, etc.
Our Urgent Needs:
- Funds for SHIPPING
- Funds for TRAVEL EXPENSES
- Fuel Gift Cards
- A Vehicle (Van or Pickup Truck)
- A Dolly
- A Ladder (4ft - 6ft)
- Monetary donations
Orphanage Needs:
- Diapers
- Children’s Vitamins
- Children’s Socks
- Children’s Shoes
- School Supplies
Lending a hand
Cares for Kids, Inc. focuses on finding the most practical and cost effective way to execute our missions. Because we are a nonprofit organization, our resources are very limited and we depend on others to “lend a hand” of help.

Past Projects
Our Commitment
Cares for Kids, Inc. was established in 2004, and since then we’ve dedicated our services across the world and to the community nearly every month of every year. Each project has benefited children with various needs.

Current Projects
Creating a Tradition
Although many of our projects come to us by chance, we also participate in certain events year after year which have become traditional projects, like our annual Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Gleaners Food Bank.
See our current projects below.
Coats for Kids
Cares for Kids partnered with WTHR and the Salvation Army for their annual "Coats for Kids" drive, which serves children of Central Indiana with the necessities to keep warm in the winter.
Mexican Orphanages
Cares for Kids will be providing necessities such as clothing and school supplies to two deserving orphanages in Matamoros, Mexico. The project is being sponsored by an elementary school in Houston, TX, who’s holding a fundraiser to collect monetary and in-kind gifts for the orphans.
Juarez Girls Orphanages
Cares for Kids Girls recently donated more than 50 brand new bath robes and sandals to a girl’s orphanage in Juarez. Each child and caregiver received a new robe and pair of sandals, and they donated the leftover gifts to a women’s shelter in their village.
Cares for Kids will gladly accept suggestions for other deserving projects as well. Please contact us with your ideas. |
