Fishers Freedom Festival |

On June 24, Cares for Kids was featured in the Fishers Freedom Festival, the largest community event in Fishers. We hosted two free children’s games and were featured in the main event, the parade. We decided to participate in this year’s Fishers Freedom Festival to raise awareness in the community about Cares for Kids and scout potential volunteers and donors. Cares for Kids gave away hundreds of free gifts to the children who attended, such as personalized bubble packs, and certificates for ice cream cones, French fry’s, and Happy Meals, gold fish, and more. Cares for Kids also raffled off a free 60 minute massage and goodies basket. All gifts were donated to Cares for Kids by local sponsors. |

Our Float As the weather turned around for the parade, Cares for Kids provided over 430 bubble packs to children who came to watch the parade. With “Helping Children Worldwide” as our float’s theme, we designed our float to look like the globe with children riding inside. |

Our Games Staying dry under the children's tent, Cares for Kids greeted more than 750 children at our children's free game booths. Our Plinko game gave out just under 300 prize certificates for Happy Meals, french fry and ice cream cones, while our Fish Bowl Toss gave out over 200 prize certificates for golf fish. Both free games were quite popular with the children. |
