Cares for Kids 1st Annual Putt Putt Palooza
On September 8, 2007 Cares for Kids hosted its 1st annual Putt-Putt Palooza
charity benefit event to raise funds to support its operations, scout potential
volunteers, make new business partnerships, and raise awareness in the community
about our cause. The event took place at Ben and Ari’s located on SR 37
& 141st St. Attendees received food, access to games, activities, and other
entertainment in our tent, and an 18-hole round of mini golf. Entertainment
included celebrity appearances by Forrest Landis of Cheaper by the Dozen 1 &
2, Julia Moffitt of Channel 13 Eyewitness News and the Indiana Pacemates.
During the event, Cares for Kids hosted games, such as Plinko, Spin-to-Win, Fish
bowl toss and more; in which families could win fantastic prizes. Our tent also
offered vendors booths, a fabulous silent auction with items donated by local
merchants, and a raffle that became very competitive. Outside the tent children
enjoyed jumping in our bounce house and dunking whoever was brave enough to get
in our dunk tank. Children were able to put on army gear provided by National
Guard and tour their humvee trucks. The Blue Crew was also on scene with their
fire truck to take pictures and help support our Super Bowl Championship winning
Colts. 100% of our proceeds benefited our mission to support orphaned children
worldwide.
